This P-38 was produced in the mauser factory in 1944 (byf44). The proof mark is (WaA135) as the ‘s were paranoid about sabatoge and they hand to watch every step of production and proof mark every part. This Mauser was purchased as a presentation grade Model. The holster is authentic to the period but is not the actual holster issued with the firearm, it was issued with another Walther P38.
